Medical Billing And Coding Salary

Medical Billing And Coding SalaryNow let us come to the most interesting part: Medical billing and coding salary. After all, we're doing this for the money aren't we? Otherwise, we'd just donate all our time to charity.

Fact: It takes money to eat and pay the bills. So there is nothing wrong with trying to get the highest salary possible.

But how do we do this?

It's called playing the bidders off each other. But you have to be very good and VERY careful doing this. It's a game. And if you play it well, you can land a top salary in this profession.

Okay, for starters, it doesn't matter how many interviews you've been on when you're at your current interview. What you want to do is have a list of all the places you've applied to or are going to apply to and choose one of them when going to your interview娆 competitor.

When the interviewer offers you the job, he's going to offer you a salary as well. If the salary is what you want, fine... accept it. No point in playing the squeeze if you're content with the offer.

But what if you're not?

Here's what you do. And trust me... it works.

Take the company you've decided to use as your backup and say this to the interviewer?

"Well, that's a very generous offer but XYZ company, who I interviewed with the other day, has offered me $2,000 more (or whatever it is you're looking for). I really don't want this to be about the money, but I have bills to pay, not to mention my education loan. However, I would be willing to take the position for $1,500 (or whatever you'll settle for) because, quite honestly, I like your company much better."

And then give the reasons why you like the company better. Mention location, company history, working conditions, whatever you can think of. Make it sound convincing.

Unless the company has a definite budget and the salary is non negotiable, they'll work with you when you show them how YOU'RE willing to compromise.

This is when you, again, have to stress your qualifications and why you'd be the perfect person for the job.

Here is the worst that can happen.

You lose the offer.

So what? You weren't happy with it anyway, so you've lost nothing.

On the flip side, you can get the salary you're looking for.

Try it, you'll be surprised at the results.
